Our Team
Sage Miah is the founder of Amaranth Acquisitions, a firm dedicated to acquiring and modernizing essential service businesses. A first generation college graduate, Sage attended Grinnell College on a full ride scholarship and later studied at the London School of Economics. While at Grinnell, he worked four jobs to support himself, including serving as a dispatcher for the police department. In that role, he guided officers through urgent and life threatening situations in rural Iowa, including natural disasters, an experience that shaped his ability to stay calm under pressure and lead with clarity. Sage has always carried a strong sense of responsibility to bridge rural and urban communities.
He taught himself how to code and began his career on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs as a technical consultant. During his time at Goldman he learned about the importance of ethical leadership and leading by example. He later moved into the supply chain industry, where he served as a technical operator and helped lead a team through a process of vertical integration. Throughout his career, Sage has worked closely with small business owners to strengthen their operational and technological infrastructure, which inspired his long term vision of a renewed Main Street America. That vision ultimately led him to launch a platform focused on preserving mom and pop blue collar businesses while giving employees meaningful ownership and upside.
Fun Facts:
When he is not working, Sage enjoys traveling, spending time in nature with his partner, and bodybuilding, a passion he has pursued for more than seven years (though he still refuses to do decline press). He has lived on four continents and spent time as a digital nomad, fueling his love for exploring new cultures. He is a huge fan of Storm from X-Men, dreams of one day visiting Antarctica, and one of his life goals is to meet Neil deGrasse Tyson. His favorite show of all time is Cosmos.
